Acupuncture is an ancient form of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM). TCM recognizes the mind and body interacting as one. Furthermore, the human body and nature interact as one also. Your emotions have a physiological effect on your body, and your body has mental and physiological effect on your natural environment. For example, in sunny weather it is easy to be cheerful and joyful but in winter it is not as easy because the weather is dreary.
TCM also teaches that Life is the process of energy flowing, communicating and balancing with nature. From now until longest day (December 21st) it is the best time to feed your body Yang energy. An acupuncture treatment at this time would promote the yang energy over this special period to feed your body so that you can recover from stress faster.
So, now is a great time to receive the treasured gift of health from nature. It will be the best gift you can give to yourself or to those who you love for a happier and healthy holiday season and New Year!
